Ashley McFerron, O.D.

Ashley McFerron, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the Oklahoma College of Optometry at Northeastern State University in 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science from The University of Tulsa.

Dr. McFerron provides comprehensive eye care with clinical interests in ocular disease and geriatric eye care. During her optometric training, she gained experience in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, pediatric eye care, and primary care optometry. She is certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat glaucoma, iritis, red eye, and other anterior eye diseases. Since purchasing Canby Eyecare in 2011, she has remained committed to delivering personalized, high-quality vision care to the Canby community.

Dr. McFerron is an active leader within the optometric profession. She serves as Vice Chair of the Industry Relations Committee for the American Optometric Association (AOA) and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Great Western Council of Optometry (GWCO), Northwest Vision Associates, and the Canby Area Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Portland Metropolitan Optometric Society (PMOS) and the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA), where she previously served as President. In recognition of her contributions to the profession, she was named the Oregon Optometrist of the Year in 2025 and the Oregon Young Optometrist of the Year in 2013. Canby Eyecare was also recognized as a CooperVision Best Practices practice in 2024.

Outside of the office, Dr. McFerron enjoys exercising, reading, golfing, playing pickleball, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Leonard, and their son, Dez, especially while cheering him on at basketball games.
